Uterine Fibroids

Noncancerous growths of the uterus — often appear during pregnancy — are not connected with increased risk of uterine cancer and rarely develop into cancer.

Fibroids range in size — can be too small to be detectable by the human eye to large masses that can distort the uterus. One can have a single fibroid or multiple. In severe cases, fibroids expand the uterus so large that it reaches the rib cage and might even add weight.

Many women having fibroids are asymptomatic. When present, symptoms depend on the location, size, and number of fibroids.

The most common signs and symptoms include:

  • Excessive menstrual bleeding
  • Menstrual periods lasting longer than normal
  • Pelvic pain or pressure
  • Frequent urination
  • Difficulty in emptying the bladder
  • Constipation
  • Backache or pain in legs
  • Nephrotic Syndrome

Nephrotic syndrome isn’t a disease itself, but ailments that damage blood vessels in kidneys induce it.

Symptoms can be like the following:

    • A high amount of protein in the urine
    • High cholesterol levels in the blood
    • High triglyceride levels in the blood
    • Low levels of protein in the blood

    • Foamy urine
    • Weight gain
    • Tiredness
    • Loss of appetite

    Membranous Glomerulonephritis (MGN)

MGN develops when inflammation of the structures causes problems with the functioning of the kidney.

    Symptoms

Some may have no symptoms at all. Those who have may experience:

    • Swelling in hands, feet, and face
    • Fatigue
    • Foamy urine
    • An excessive need to urinate, especially at night
    • Weight gain
    • Loss of appetite
    • Blood in the urine

    Dysfunctional Uterine Bleeding

The condition affects almost every woman at some point in life. It also causes vaginal bleeding to occur outside the regular menstrual cycle. Certain hormonal conditions and medications also cause the disease.

    • Pelvic pressure or pain

    Urethritis

The tube that carries urine (and semen in males) from the bladder to outside the body inflames and irritates.

The condition typically causes pain when urinating and an increased need to urinate.

    Symptoms

    In men

  • Burning sensation while urinating
  • Burning or itching near the tip of the penis
  • Blood in the semen or urine
  • Unusual discharge from the penis
