Menopause is the end of menstrual cycles, diagnosed after 12 months without a menstrual period. Menopause can happen in your 40s or 50s.

Menorrhagia

A medical term for menstrual periods with abnormal — heavy or prolonged — bleeding. Heavy menstrual, however, bleeding is a common concern; most women do not experience blood loss so severe to be considered menorrhagia. With menorrhagia, one cannot maintain usual activities during periods because of much blood loss and cramping.

Amenorrhea

Amenorrhea is the absence of menstruation — women who have missed at least three menstrual periods in a row may have amenorrhea, so do the girls who have not begun menstruation by age 15.

Polycystic Ovarian Disease

A hormonal disorder is common among women of reproductive age. They may have infrequent or prolonged menstrual periods or excess male hormone (androgen) levels.

Ovarian Cysts

A fluid-filled sac called a cyst develops on one of the ovaries. Many women may develop cyst at least once during their lifetime. Generally, cysts are painless and with no symptoms.

Bacterial Vaginosis

An infection of the vagina that results from a change in the normal balance of vaginal bacteria. Usually causes no other health problems. But it can lead to issues during pregnancy.

Pelvic Inflammatory Disease

Pelvic inflammatory disease is an infection of the female reproductive organs. The pelvis in the lower abdomen includes the fallopian tubes, ovaries, cervix, and uterus.
